Today, we will make the final border crossing of this trip. Back into
Virginia. Many people have expressed reservations about the risk of such
a mammoth undertaking.
Frankly put, to me there is more risk in
NOT living life to its full potential. The sign on our trailer reads "
Virginia or Bust ! ". God willing we will complete this journey to its
full conclusion.
If we HAD NOT set out on this journey, we would have to live with the regret of letting FEAR of the unknown control
our destiny. Procrastination robs a life of so much joy. I HATE the
phrase " Someday, I wanna..." I have heard those words more times than I
can count on this trip.
People, get out and live. You only have
ONE life. Live it ! Make it happen. Make living a priority. Eliminate "
Someday I wanna... " from your vocabulary. Instead say, " This is what
we shall do. " Then BEGIN getting the ducks in order to clear the path
to your goal.
You don't have to be rich to make goals. You have to
be determined. Just make note of the fact that WISHES are entirely
different from GOALS. Wishes RARELY come true without DETERMINED GOALS
and PLANNING.
Special thanks to my wife Terri Ruff McCormick and my Auntie Carolyn Langholz for their amazing patience and contributions to this team effort. Job well done.
This trip didn't happen because we wished it so. It happened because we MADE IT HAPPEN.
