November 8th, 2015
We have officially been on this road trip for 100 days today (written November 8th). A little over a year ago, Auntie Carolyn Langholz was not expected to survive another day. The hospital told us there was no hope, and they were just keeping her comfortable.
I told God, I am willing to take responsibility for her. I will feed
her, clean up after her, exercise her, show her that even in adversity a
life can be filled with joy and purpose. When she told me that she
couldn't do the things she used to do,
and that she had nothing to live for, it became my mission to prove her
wrong. I told her that we all face a point in time when we cannot do the
things we used to do, but that doesn't mean we can't experience joy in
doing what we can.
The day they told us she wouldn't survive
another night, my pastor preached that we should not limit God with our
prayers. We should pray big and expect Gods best.
We prayed big, and God responded. Please believe that prayer does indeed move the hand of God.
For those of you who do not believe in miracles, behold, the mighty
hand of God has blessed Auntie Carolyn Langholz. She has experienced
joys nonstop on this epic trip. Precious time with relatives and
friends, the beauty of Gods creation in the wonders of this beautiful
country.
We don't know what tomorrow has in store for us, but what we do know is that God will be in it.
